Beate's Be Inspired Challenge #4

Thanks Beate for another wonderful challenging challenge(atleast for me it was!). I have a hard time creating "outside the box" so to speak. And this for me was outside the box! Colors and prints that you don't think might go together but can and do. I tend to do the matched set kind of cards. Cardstock match, ink match cardstock etc.

I knew I had some cardstock that had some printing on it and some that looked like grandmas old drapes..lol...so I used those to somewhat mimic the inspired cutting board. The flowerery/leafy thing took some time. I drew a couple things but discarded them. So I ended up using a leaf stamp and drawing the branch. I stamped the branch with the leaf stamp to cover the white cardstock. I wanted some depth. I didn't want a big brown stick or solid green branch. Then I stamped over the green with terracotta color to give is some dimension.

So there it is my Inspired card from a cutting board!
Cardstock: printed one is from 7Gypsies, the flowered one is from Cosmo Cricket. Ink: ClosetoMyheart Ponderosa Pine and Autumn Terracota. Stamps: CloseToMyheart Serendipity for the leaf and the dotted circle, LovelyBuckles for the sentiment 'Live'.

Thanks for looking.
